You should set up some sort of paypal donation option as a way for people to thank you for the time you putting in helping folks.
Thanks for the idea, it's been suggested before ... but I honestly don't help people to get anything in return.
I do computer repair to what would be a few thousand dollars some months (going by GeekSquad's highway robbery rates) for family and friends (and people I don't even know like relatives of friend's relatives) and a lot of times it's house calls, but I've never charged anyone and don't take their money when they offer (except if they keep insisting). I don't do it for money or any other reason, I just thoroughly enjoy both helping people and fixing PC's.
I normally tell people the experience is my payment. For every computer problem I fix I normally learn how to do at least one thing I didn't know before. Since I'm 100% self-taught in computers and have never had a single computer lesson in my life, everything I know is from personal experience, so the more I get to work on computers the more experience I get and the more I can teach myself.
And ... now I have to go finish writing another script for LBlack14.
