http://firstread.msnbc.ms...t-for-murkowski?GT1=43001

When your handpicked candidate in your OWN state loses to a write in (particularly one as unappealing as Lisa Murkowski), you just don't have the juice.

I knew this was in the works yesterday when Millers Chief of Staff started bitching about 'Voter Fraud' and 'Intimidation'. That's the postmodern GOP version of a concession speech.

I read that. My best guess: Made up controversy is made up to drive ratings.

She's probably getting wined and dined EVERY night as well.

I actually have a tiny shred of respect for her. Apparently Mama Grizzly tried to ship the 2 of them off to get hitched just after getting the nomination, and Bristol told her no.

I saw it on the innergoogles, so I'm pretty sure it's true!

I'm sure the producers embrace that.

But what I'm talking about are hundreds of thousands of palintards at home in front of their teevees furiously voting for Bristol hundreds of times, like some drug-addicted test monkeys feverishingly pressing the lever

ZOMG! A SIXTEEN YEAR OLDS FB POSTS ARE OVERLY DRAMATIC! WHAARRRGGAARRRBBBBLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!

That said:

I read somewhere that Palin's political career is based more on an ongoing personal feud with the head of the Alaska GOP than anything else.

Which sort of makes sense, because she clearly has no interest in actually Gubinatin' and doesn't appear to have any kind of clear ideological compass whatsoever.

I don't know about all that, but one thing seems abundantly clear to me...she didn't deploy a ghost writer for  her new 2nd book...because a good ghost writer would have done the research on Founding Father Thomas Paine, to whom she dedicated her book after googling for some random patriotic quote, and a ghostwriter would have known that Paine penned The Age of Reason, a raging, anti-bible, anti-religion screed that has been likened to something Christopher Hitchens might write today.

This has to be the most ironic thing to have ever appeared on the intergoogles in its vast and stunning history.

Take her anti-obesity thing that she is on. She is on this kick, right. What she is telling us is she cannot trust parents to make decisions for their own children, for their own families in what we should eat. And I know I'm going to be again criticized for bringing this up, but instead of a government thinking that they need to take over and make decisions for us according to some politician or politician's wife priorities, just leave us alone, get off our back, and allow us as individuals to exercise our own God-given rights to make our own decisions and then our country gets back on the right track.

This is just raging fundamentalism.  Pure and simple.
