The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United StatesIf candidates don't have a copy of their birth certificates, they could meet the requirement by providing baptismal or circumcision certificates, hospital birth records and other documents. Of course, none of that would apply to Barry Sotero anyway, seeing as he is the ONLY POTUS to publicly release his Birf Certifikit.

I have a stupid question. I don't have the time, effort or interest to read or follow any of what's going on.
The man is 49 years old. This have never been an issue in the past? Like in obtaining a driver's license?
Surprisingly I'm not teh POTUS, and not 49 but have had to produce my birf certicket several times. Most recently to get a Kalifornia driver's license (which I didn't get because I refuse to pay the 50 bucks for a special certified copy instead of my wrinkled up Xeroxed one I've been toting around for 41 years and now I can't get a resident card here to play golf for half price. I got connections any way so *fudge* 'em. But I digress)
Either you got one, or you don't.
What's the deal?

They made you produce a birth certificate for a driver license? I don't remember having to do that. IIRC, I had to surrender my license from another state and show them a passport.

It wasn't an issue when he was elected to Congress, and it's probably not an issue after Stephanopolous shove the Birf Certifikit in Michelle Bachmann's face yesterday.

Was it a Birth Certificate or the Certificate of Live Birth? Big difference between the two. CLB is basically a worthless piece of paper. When I was in the USAF, in order to get my security clearance, I had to produce the actual (certified copy)Birth Certificate. One would think that the Commander in Chief would need to do the same, as his level of clearance was 2 levels above mine. But, Obama spent in the neighborhood of 2 million dollars in legal fees to avoid doing so.

It's formatted almost exactly the same way, but his is green and mine is blue. Mine also says 'Prima Facie evidence in any court' on it, same as his does. You know what that means, right?

How can one be born as a non-native US citizen and receive one of these certificates but not the other?

Idiot! One proves that you were born alive, the other proves that you were alive when you were born.
IT'S COMPLETELY DIFFERENT!
