Firefox Question.
« on: January 08, 2007, 04:10:00 PM »

I have the deal on, that when I type a word wrong, it underlines in red.  Nice.  Is there anything out there that will automatically correct it for me?  Kinda like Word.

TIA.

Haven't heard of an auto-correct for Firefox yet.

I have looked into writing extensions them "know" how, just don't have the time. lol Cheesy One way to add it would be to install https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/3682/ then reboot Firefox, go to dictionary.com, right click on the text field and click "add to search bar". Works on lots of sites. Cheesy

Ok, did what you said.  That is cool, I like it, but it dominates my current window.  How do I get it to open in a new tab?

You could use tab mix plus to configure your tab settings. https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1122/

Got that.  I have it set to open things in a new tab, but this took over the current tab(the one I'm trying to post in).

I'll have to dig later.

Actually, it was me who mentioned it (here, at least).

Try checking this box, if it's not already checked.

Sad No, I had that checked already.  I haven't had the time to dig through it. Embarrassed

I just dug through mine and that's the only option that opens it in the current window for me.  Maybe you want to uncheck the box>click apply>check the box>click apply>type something in dictionary search>if opens in new tab click okay, otherwise you can try messing with other settings.
