Verdict: I kind of like the flavor. But there's a weird aftertaste that lingers for a long time--like after you take a shot of tequila or after you eat something really garlicky. I can see how some people might not like it, but I'm a fan of umami.

So, twoiron, is spreading it onto buttered toast the only way that you guys eat this stuff? Would it be considered sacrilege to spread it onto a turkey sandwich or something like that?

On hot buttered toast, English Muffin, or crumpets are the best way to eat it.

Many kids will have it in sandwiches for lunch, often with cheese - I'm not that keen on it this way.

You could probably have it in a turkey sandwich if you really wanted to but to some extent borders on sacrilege.
