In 2 hours last night, you no doubt removed all aspersions cast on Minne-Hopeless. What a circus. Is everybody's teeth that way out there? I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'. *Brother Seamus exempt of course. I've seen his smile. Haven't heard him sing, but my guess is angels take lessons.

I had a good friend go to the Seattle try-outs, and she said it was horrific. This girl plays in band out of SLC, and she can sing. She got the impression that AI was just looking for train wrecks, as some really good voices were passed up.

I believe it! It's all about the "theater". They know William Hung gets ratings, so keep pressing for more, and more of him. Did she get passed any of the screeners?

I actually felt a bit sorry for a couple of those folks last night. I know they come to try out on their own free will but it seems a bit more "mean" this year. Maybe it's because I was watching it with my 9 year old and realized I needed to use it as a teaching moment about the appropriateness of mocking others. There were those that I have no problem turning into a sideshow (Ms. Hotness ) but I thought 2-3 of them were borderline...um....not all there and were used by the producers. I felt really terrible when I laughed.

Did she get passed any of the screeners?Nope, she said it appeared that anyone with a half decent voice was quickly told no thanks, while the obvious bad ones were given the nod. She felt they got the talent the first day, and were looking for the non-talent on day 2.

Ms. Hotness. LMAO!! She was so lame. Loved the Barry White in the background. Yep. She deserved mock and ridicule. I agree on a few others, I think the producers used them way too much. That last dude seemed genuinely crushed. Don't these people ever use their finger, and close one ear while they are singing? They'll know in 2 seconds themselves, as opposed to Simon destroying them. Hell, I sound great singing Bon Jovi, in my car.

Hell, I sound great singing Bon Jovi, in my car. The likelihood of this is suspect on many different levels.

I'll look generally to see who the active posters are. But outside of the members list -- and especially when I'm in the threads themselves -- I never notice counts. And congrats on your 2000!

No way would Paula A. make it through listening to 1000's of singers.

I was prepared to type a statement, but at this point it may be best to take the medicine with a spoonful of sugar.
Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Mudhoney, Alice in Chains, Robert Cray, Quincy Jones...and now...Hot ****y Girl Darwin and her equally enticing mom.
This will take awhile to recover from.
