More like depraved nonsense.
Am I the only one who thinks Carrey is only slightly humorous at best?

No, you're not alone. Admittedly I've liked bits and pieces of his early stuff but he really doesn't do anything for me.

ironically, yeh, I find him much better in quasi-serious (cable guy, etc) to serious roles (eternal sunshine) than the over-the-top comedies (ace ventura and old in living color were tolerable to good I guess)

I've never liked Jim Carrey, not even in his "In Living Color" days. Then again, I'm not much for juvenile slapstick. Never could understand his appeal. The only movie he's been in that I actually liked was "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," but that was in spite of him, not because of him.

His "Live at the Met" concert is one of the funniest things I've ever seen. I think his manic crazy shtick has gotten old too though. I can't stand watching him do interviews these days. Anymore, I'd almost rather see him in serious roles.

[sarcasm font] I would rank him second only to Keanu Reeves on my list of favorite actors. [sarcasm font]
