Men of Golfhos ...

Where do you buy your clothes?
A recent "clean sweep" of my dresser and side of the closet left me kind of short on stuff. (Letting my wife go in and toss up to five things didn't help matters any.) I'm now looking to re-populate, with instructions to not buy old-man clothes or ill-fitting clothes (as if I know what those are, given my fashion myopia).
I'd like to get stuff that won't shrink when I wash it (as two pairs of pants from Banana Republic (first try there) just did), is decently constructed and is durable. FWIW, I used to run (a lot) and have monkey arms, making me just different enough from "standard" sizing that it behooves me to try before I buy. Procurement without taking out a home equity loan is a plus.
So where do y'all shop? (My apologies if there's a gay vibe that bothers anyone. I'll try to start another topic fairly dripping with testosterone.)

I'm a bit of a saddo and everything I get seems to be from Sears.
Back home I'm varied, here, not so much.
Edit: My wife told me it's Dillards, not Sears.
So, there we are.
I'm still a saddo.

- Mens Warehouse - JC Penny's - Macy's (when sale going on)
Are you close to any of the Carolina Outlets? If so, make a afternoon trip out of it. The Izod and Dockers stores have nice clothes also.

1. Good for you. I need to do the same thing.
2. I'm not much help. My out of uniform time is so slim, esp. in winter. I am literally 1 pair of jeans, and a couple of U of M hooded sweatshirts. I will need to re-tool for this years upcoming golf season, for I too, have nothing to wear.
Do you have Kohls there? I'd stay away from B.R.(which is too late) and Old Navy. If you go to a place like The Gap, or (crap, complete brain fade). It just reeks of "I'm in my forties, but want people to think I'm 27.
I think you skirt the old man clothes, but still look decent.
Dockers has moved from one pair of Khaki dress pants to a pretty decent line of casual(as well as dress) options.

Where do you buy your clothes? They just show up. I suspect the tooth fairy or Santa Claus but I'm afraid I'd screw up the mojo if I tried to find out for sure.

I get mine from all over. Usually during sales if possible.
I will say the Gap has khakis that fit me very well and seem to last a long time. Don't usually get anything else there.
One place that may seem odd but I have had good luck - Ebay. Need to know your size and selection can be limited. And I have only bought "new with tags" stuff. Can be very inexpensive for some nice things.
For my suits, I've done Men's Wearhouse and a local independent place.

If you want to avoid old-man clothes and maybe improve your hipness, try Abercrombie. LOL
