Just got back from snowboarding with my daughter. It was the nicest day weather-wise we've had in a couple of weeks. Big fun...only fell hard on my ass once. How'd the new gear treat you?

Played 15 holes of golf today, and headed out the door to take my nephew to watch the Seattle Thunderbirds try to stop their slide to the cellar before playoff time...

All was well, thanks U.B.!
I went with a bit shorter board (156 Endeavor Team) but it felt good. Got a really good buy on it so if I want to go longer in the future it won't be such a big deal. My head was spinning a little on what board to get anyway.
Took the advice and dropped a bit more on the boots and bindings than I thought but everybody said the same thing. All in all a good first day on my stuff.

Sweet. I don't think you'll regret spending the $$$ on boots/bindings. My board is a 156 also although chances are I'm shorter than you. I like it. Good length for what I'm about. Of course, it's the only board I've ever owned. Anything is nice compared to rentals. Shred dude.

I finally played golf on Saturday after a 13 week layoff.
Drove 1-1/2 hours to a course that wasn't snowed covered, waited 1 hour for a singles slot, teed off after 4 extremely fat men and two of their fat preteen children.
I pared the first hole then double pared the second hole! Every other hole was either par or Bogey so I didn't feel bad about my game after such a long layoff.
It took 3 hours and 45 minutes to play 9 holes. I paid for 18 but I left after the 9th hole in disgust and drove back home to drink beer.

I got my first round in since I joined a club in January. It was probably in the low 40's today. I like to play the blue tees which is about 6000 yards, but those tees were not set up. Moving back, the course was setup for about 6700 yards. Add in the reduced distances due to the weather and it made for a long round.
I think I'll just try to learn the course until they get the blues tees marked again and not worry about my score. Hopefully I'll get out again next weekend.

Friday: Received several threatning phone calls from a ex-friend/bar patron of mine after his long distance fiance found out he was cheating on her, and my wife who has been dealing with at least 50 phone calls a day from her, confirmed that yes, he was cheating.
Saturday: Receive more pyschotic phone calls in which I get put on a 3-way call with ex-friend/fiance where he vehemently denies any wrong doing, and expects me to agree. As this *feces* has been going on for about 2 weeks, I tell them both they are *goshdarn* PSYCHO, to leave me, my wife, and my employees alone or I will call police. I hang up the phone and seconds later the phone rings again...*fudge* this I have had enough and call the police. Police show up and are sympathetic to my plight, and say they will go have a talk to the man. No more phone calls for today.
Sunday: Hoping the *feces* has ended, my wife and I stay home today to enjoy our only day off together.
10AM: My wife's phone rings and it's pyscho *8==>* and his fiance on 3-way screaminig and cursing my wife out, calling her a liar and everything else including the dreaded "C" word. I grab the phone and tell him if he speaks to my wife like that again, I'll take a baseball bat to his head, to please leave us alone, and to suck it up and take it like a man, he got caught, fess up and move on.
Call the cops again, cop comes out,we talk a bit and he asks if I am armed. I tell him yeah, I have guns in the house, and he tells me good, that he doesn't think our little friend is that stable. Apparently after our morning chat, he has been calling the station insisting they arrest me for a myriad of charges. Cop leaves after telling me not to hesitate to call if I have any more problems. We haven't received anymore phone calls yet, but I know this isn't over.
To give a better picture of this situation, I try and summarize:
This guy was regular patron of my bar, and not really a close friend He told everyone that he and his fiance broke up. He dated two of my bartenders His fiance has access to his voice mail, and that is how she found out about his extra curricular activities. His fiance has been calling our bar regularly for 2 months looking for her beau Everyone knows he was sleeping around, but thought he was single. He denies any wrong doing in any conversation, blantly lying anytime his fiance is on the phone with him. His finace, even though numerous people have confirmed his exploits, refuses to believe he is cheating, but also refuses to move on. I am beginning to believe that he believes his lies, and that they both are extremely *goshdarn* pyschotic, and I have reason to fear for my safety.
So, in nutshell I did have an exciting weekend, and I am hoping next week is a little more low key.
