why is it always  1-2 minutes ahead of my system time ?

i have an hourly checkin with the atomic clock ...

Yeah, I've noticed that too.  I just logged into the server and the time is off.  I'm surprised they don't have the server time synch with any of the NTP servers out there.

I have a shell account on the server, but not enough permissions to set the time on the box.

I've been complaining to the hosting company about downtime a lot in the past month, so I'm not going to bug them about a small time discrepancy.
