Poll (2nd try): What are your favorite songs from...

OK. Second try. Multiple options are allowed now. Sound clips are provided for your reference in case you're a native Minnesnowtan and have never heard the songs before.

Okay, voted the three options available, but a very close second place would include Baby I'm a Star and When Doves Cry. Loves me the Purple Rain soundtrack.

lol Thanks for including clips, I guess, but I don't listen to the genre in which they are in. So could you just include an option like "none, preferably".

"Take Me With U" isn't in your top three?

"Take Me With U" isn't in your top three? I'd say it's in my top 6.

Not part of the original soundtrack album. Apollonia sang a duet with Prince on Take Me With U.

Speaking of egomaniacs: our company made us take an anonymous employee survey. (Aside: what a bad idea.) Anyway, we rated the company from 1-10 and provided comments on why we would/wouldn't recommend employment here to a friend or family member.
One gentleman referred to his boss as a "micro-managing egomaniac". Along with the not insubstantial body of equally negative comments accompanying that phrase, it was not difficult to discern his identity. A pool has been started on when the pink slip will arrive.

D'oh! Didn't see this thread. I posted in the other one.
Man, tough to pick just one. I guess I would have to with Purple Rain. Good flow to the song, good guitar, lot of emotion.
I really Like Go Crazy, and Die 4 you.
There is an instrumental that is not on the soundtrack that is great. It's when Appolonia brings him the guitar, and they, uh........well he thanks her. The title is "God".

Our organization does one of those every year in which we rate not only the company, but senior management and our direct supervisors. All comments are forwarded to our specific management groups (my boss only has about 4 direct reports so I'm sure it's really difficult for him to figure out whose comments are whose). Yeah, I'm totally honest on that one.

You need to add a "none of the above" option.

Your "testing" poll was better.

D'oh! Didn't see this thread. I posted in the other one. Ditto...sorry! If you allow yourself to step back and look at this subjectively, you will see that this is one of the best soundtracks of all times, now I hate to speak and type in absolutes but as I have worked in the music industry for over 20 years I feel I bring a bit of expertise into the conversation, it rates below say Saturday Night Live or The Jazz Singer (maybe even Seven Brides for Seven Brothers) for me BUT having said that, this is probably a top 5 all timer. I tried to argue this point in FiGs when Prince was the half time performer at the SB to no avail. It's hard to pick one "C" but if I have to When Doves Cry has to be it! He weaves thoughts of isolation, haunting images of parental malevolence, the heat and sweat of ****, the passion of animals, and finally a great tag line in a song, Doves Crying. It has "it" all. Why do we scream at each other This is what it sounds like When doves cry

You need to add a "none of the above" option. He didn't think that was a good option. I asked him about that in his first poll on this topic.
