Cutting yards, cutting and hauling hay (days of the small square bales), worked for a furniture business making deliveries, and believe it or not one summer dug a swimming pool with a shovel!

McDonald's Worked there for 2+ years in high school. Great money at the time. When I gave my notice after graduation, they countered with an offer to become a manager. LOL Talk about giving the keys to the chicken coop to the fox. I politely declined, and told them I was leaving for the Army in 2 weeks. In retrospect, I believe that having that experience (at least the name on the resume`) did wonders for me later in life.

Caddy one summer then worked in the bag room the next summer at a different course. The second job was the best. After that I didn't work till I joined the Navy.

I had a newspaper route, 2 days a week. I caddied a couple of summers and a I had an ice cream trike that I peddled around the neighborhood.
These were all from 11-15. It's unfortunate that these kinds of opportunities aren't available to kids any more.
After turning 16, I got a job at McDonald's for about 8 months and then was a busboy at an Italian restaurant until I left for college.

Paper route. Delivered the Newark Evening News. Had a bike with baskets front and rear. On Sundays my Dad rode me around in his car. Made pretty good money back in the day.

4 years at Ponderosa Steak House, washing dishes for a year then I got a big promotion (no more money though!) to work on the broiler flipping steaks. I can still BBQ a mean t-bone.

1. Paper routes (held up to three routes at one time: one morning paper and two different evening papers). Moved up to helping the route manager every morning, running whatever routes in the region were "down" (regular delivery guy sick, quit, etc.).
2. Caddied at South Hills Country Club for 2.5 seasons.

I mowed lawns when I was 10-12. At 14 or so, I started being a "research gopher" for my dad. I'd ride the buss to the U of U Law Library (sometimes after school, but usually on weekends and during summer break) with a list of cases to find and copy for him. I think he paid me $5 an hour (tax free) for this. At the time, I thought I'd hit the big time.
My first proper job was for Peter Piper Pizza when I was 16. I think I took a pay cut to quit working for my dad to do this, but for some reason it seemed cooler at the time. Go figure.

Reaching into my dad's pocket when he wasn't watching. That gravy train always gets derailed by Social Services in the long run.
