still enjoying giving away your privacy at the airport?

After watching Superman in my youth I always wear lead underpants anyway.

Just in case.

Guess the public has to make a decision on how much they are willing to sacrifice in the interest of "safe" air travel.  So what's the over/under of youtube offerings of airport screens in the future.

Am I the only one who thinks "backscatter" sounds like some kind of fetish pröñ?


I'm not sure what I think of the technology.  I've generally been pretty understanding of the airport security measures and screeners.  However, I flew in and out of Newark Liberty this past Friday and would best describe the screeners I encountered there as power drunk commando wannabes.  They were way over the top and pretty much verbally abusive.

I recall an epsiode of All in the Family where Archie suggests that the answer to airline security is to give every passenger a gun upon boarding the plane.  While it wouldn't help against a bomb, it wouldv'e prevented 9/11!!
