MFAWG.......(Glory Days)

The first picture I could find. It's a Polaroid. I had to scan it in, I can't resize it. I call it, " In the pits". It was after I lost the first heat. We were talking about how to get in and out of the turns better. More to come, when I can dig them out. Funny. When I look at that that picture, I see I hold my hands the same way my daughter holds hers, when I talk to her. Gosh, I miss my Dad.

Ahhh, the blazing sun, the smell of exhaust, burnt rubber, and friction material, the sound of engines starting, restarting and then restarting again, the glint of a Craftsmen wrench in the sun, the constant search for that extra 10th, 100th, or even 1000th to get a leg up on the other guy, and the waiting, always the waiting.
Just another day in the pits somewhere in America, or any other part of the developed world for that matter.

It's always fun looking at old pictures and remembering. A great example of Americana.

My Machine. I'm still looking for the pictures of me with the trophies, and some action shots. They're packed away somewhere.

LOL. I was what they call Man Pretty. Well, it was the Seventies. Although, I never could get it "feather" right on one side. I wish I had those Samsonesque locks now.

Man, what a great picture. Good call scanning it, it looks like it's starting to crack. I have some old polaroids that I wish I had scanned because they've completely lost the image. Some irreplaceable reminders of family and warm memories.

I never bought into the "you were born into gaeness" until I seen this. I have to apologize stroh for the off the cuff remarks, I now see you born with it. NTTAWWT.
Seriously nice pic...I raced MC's a lot when I was younger and have some cool pics of me and Pops.
