would you live. This is just pure fantasy, as you dream job would be there, and your loved ones would be there as well.

Well, this isn't very "worldly".... but when I retire in about 5 years we're moving to NW Arkansas, USA. I can't tell you which house but I can just about tell you which street with the 14th fairway running past the back yard. And a nice view of Table Rock Lake. http://holidayisland.com/index.html

Carmel wouldn't suck. But... I'm gonna have a home in Brittas Bay some day. I assume your rules allow for a membership at the club of your choice.

Maybe it's pathetic, but I'm picking right where I live Boysee, Ideeho. 1.5 acres10 minutes from downtown and 1 hour in any directions gets you whatever outdoor activity you choose. Maybe a second home in Santa Fe for winter getaways/golf.

Hard to pick a place I've never been.
I think I would like Vegas.
Maybe moving back home to Jacksonville.

This is tough and I agree with stroh. Hard to pick somewhere you've never been but...
Definitely somewhere away from the cold in the winter. I think I've seen enough snow and ice in my lifetime. I'd love to live in a foreign country for a while....New Zealand, Australia, maybe somewhere in Europe.
One thing's for sure, when I'm retired my wife wants to travel a lot. So maybe I'll run across my fantasy place to live then.

I kind of like it here.
The mountains are one hour to my east, the desert is one hour past that. The Pacific ocean is one hour to my west, Japan, juuuuuuuust a bit further, several rivers and valleys to meander down and wander through, the air is clean, the people friendly, the golf is acceptable, better learn to play out of trees though. Seattle always takes knock for rain but the last time I checked we were just about in the middle of the 50 states as far as yearly average. If I had the money I would travel, there's a few states I haven't seen, brother Stroh's is one of 'em I'd love to see Minnesota in the winter, haven't been to New York yet, or Chicago. Bein' in the military I had a chance to see a good chunk of western Europe, haven't been to Scotland or Ireland, some day, China, Australia gotta pay my respects to Bon Scott, thank him for providing the soundtrack to my life for awhile.
But you know what?
Boeing brought us here and I guess I kind of like it here.

Honestly, while there are many places I'd still like to visit, I pretty much already live where I want to. This is home.
If I had to move, other places I'd consider would be Boise, Eugene, Boulder, Big Sky. We considered Denver a few years back, but they hate our dog.

Oh, I don't know. I like Minnesota. I think Minnesota would still be home, but I wouldn't mind traveling all over the world.

I couldn't live in only one. Of course, back home (Piraeus, Greece) strikes first. But I wouldn't mind any other European city that people wouldn't give me much *feces* for only speaking Greek and English
