Umm steak
« on: March 30, 2007, 01:05:32 PM »

The Mrs and I are eating here tonight for our 2nd anniversary and 4th year as a couple.  http://www.boulevardsteakhouse.com/menu.php  We decided to have a nice dinner instead of a party so we don't have to clean the house.

OMG the steaks are so good.  They cook them in the high temp ovens and they are the best in the City IMO.

I can bet our order will be exactly like this.

Start with a bottle of VCP.  Shrimp Cocktail for me lady and a salad for myself.  We will both get 7 oz filets.  The sides are ala carte and large but we each get our own because they are so good.  She'll get the AuGratin potatoes and I'll get the Roasted Garlic mashed potatoes.  And we will split a Bananas Boulevard for dessert (not sure why it isn't on the menu as it is their specialty).

Then I'll unbutton my top button and we will waddle out to our car so full we can hardly breath.  Ahh I can't wait.  I am getting hungry just thinking about it.

LOL!

We're just going to some local seafood joint where I will get very rare tuna steak (with a wasabi and a soy sauce drizzle), a tossed salad (with homemade bleu cheese dressing) and garlic bread.  Haven't decided on appetizers.  Oh, well.. Devil

Happy Anniversary, Walfredo.  Here's to many more. Cheers Cheers

Sweet, we have an unused dinner gift card for there that we will be using soon.

11 bucks for asparagus?

Nice.

I am also having steak for dinner tonight, but mine will be at home. Not that I have anything against going to a steak restaurant, I've had some fine steaks in restaurants before but by and large steak is one of those things I'd really prefer to cook for myself. Particularly given that the ribeye (my favorite steak of all time) that I will be eating tonight will be cooked and seasoned exactly to my liking, will taste every bit as good as a steak I can order in a fine dining establishment, and will end up costing me less than $10 for the entire meal. Now if only I could get the hang of homemade sushi...

Oh, by the way, happy anniversary.  Buddies Cheers

Happy Anniversary Walfredo!!  I've heard the steaks at Boulevard are the best, but I've yet to make it there.  Thanks for the link so I could see the menu.
