Finally! version 2.0 (sort of)
« on: April 14, 2007, 09:17:25 AM »

So, The weather finally turned.  I left work at 11, to play at noon.  They pushed us back to 2, because there was still some snow, and the course was pretty wet.  Played with the BIL, and he had to pick his kid up by 5, so it was abbreviated. Angry

We jumped from hole to hole, trying to maximize or time, and avoid a couple of walkers, so I didn't keep score. (wouldn't have been anything to brag about anyway, save 1.  Grin)

First drive of '07, pumped long and straight.  135 left.  9 iron to right fringe, pin left. 18 yard wedge to 6 feet.  2 putts.

Par 3.  5 iron chunkles.  33 yard wedge to 4 feet.  Draino.

Par 5.  Decent drive.  7 iron layup.  8 iron approach, short, didn't carry the *feces*.  Drop, wedge from 65 yards, 8 feet.  2 putts.

Par 4.  4 wood, pumped up the gut. One hundo on the nuggies. Wedge to 6 feet!  Yahtzee!

See a trend developing?  I love these wedges.  The 2 clubs I had never played with before, were the best 2 in the bag.  When I hit them, I didn't even have to think about the shot.  Automatic.

My mid iron, and long game was a struggle, but nothing I could pigeon hole.  I just need time out there.

Putting was decent.  1 three putt on the day, was hurried tap in/finish that circled the cup, and came back to me.  Oh, well.   Even the short ones matter.

Over all, nice day out, and good to be back out there.  I plan to play tomorrow, as well.  Not to mention, finally hooking up with the MN GolfHos contingent.

Hey, if spaceage, and campy can use this site for man on man hook ups, I think I should aim to be so progressive.

To be one's first, but know wholeheartedly, not the last, leaves me feeling somewhat melancholy.

Sounds like a very fun round!  Those wedges also sound like they are perfect for you. Cool

Excellent stroh!

I am FINALLY getting in my first full round tomorrow a.m.

Hopefully my wedges work 1/2 as well as yours.
