Funniest thing ever said by a mother...
« on: April 16, 2007, 04:46:37 PM »

The funniest thing I’ve ever heard a mother say.

I was on a train yesterday with a mother and her boy.  This child must have said “mum” at least 400 times… “mum,… mum,… mum,…mum”, and the mother would say “what?”. The child then would say something totally innocuous like..”That man’s wearing a hat”.

Then it would start again. This went on for some time until finally the lady said “I can’t believe that I was ever so happy to hear you say the word “mum”.

Mum's the word.

I grew up through junior high and high school in my friend's house.  It was quite, how should I put it..., lax.  Tim's dad was a major stoner and his kids grew up just like him (oh the stories 25 years down the road  Shocked).  We were over there one day and Tim's grandparents were visiting from Denver.  His little brother was in the basement with his friends getting baked and jammin' to Oingo Boingo or Flock of Seagulls.  The smell was coming up the stairs and Tim's grandmother asks, "what's burning?"

Tim's dad doesn't miss a beat, "my kids."
