eagleone has pulled away from the pack a bit. I'm guessing he's the only one who picked GSW. (I have no idea how the scoring on this dealie works, but I hope everyone who picked Dallas to win it all isn't automatically out of the running now.) The way GSW has been playing I wouldn't at all be surprised to see them in the Western Conference Championship round.

It's looking like the Utah/Houston series is going to go to the team that wants to lose it the least. Very uninspired series. Jazz finally turned on some juice in the final 2:00 last night, but for the most part they're playing very boring "slow it down" half court offense. (Old-school Jerry Sloan snooze fest basketball.) As seen in games 3 & 4, the way to beat T-Mac and Yao is to make them run. (BTW, T-Mac can suck it.) The Jazz (Jerry Sloan) have never appeared to figure out that you gotta dance with them what brung ya. They play "run and gun" all year, it gets them into the playoffs and then they start playing a slow "play to not lose" style offense.

Good riddance to Kobe and AI. Spurs/Suns should be a brawl. The bruised & battered winner might very well be met with a well rested GSW team. Could be interesting. Honestly I don't believe GSW (or Utah or Houston) can beat either of them, so I think Suns/Spurs series is for the title.

Is anyone actually paying attention to the East?

Well, I'm officially out of it. eagleone still holds a fairly convincing lead. A surprise surge from the Mozilla twins carries them to a tie for 2nd place. At this point, I'm rooting for 2i to win.
