there's an aeroplane up in the sky. When I first moved here I missed "airplane" on a spelling test. That and asking the girl next to me if I could borrow her rubber pretty much set the tone for my great American experiment. My teacher finally relented and gave me credit for extra "u"s in words like honour and so forth. It never did work out with the girl next to me. But I had my Floyd to see me through.

I thought about spelling it that way, but decided I can spell it "airplane" because both were referenced in the thread. However, there are times when I do like a spelling of a word to have a "u" in it.
