Wow! Where to start? I guess, here, with me at work, on a Saturday.(and should be relieved of my post, if not legally, most certainly moraly.
)
The start:
Oh, I got
plenty of time.
We're teeing off at 10:00. Well, I've played the course twice before, and had an
idea where it was at. So, I get *fudge*in' lost, and finally come screamin' into the parking lot at around 5 after 10. Nice start, *8==>*head. Fuzz is wise enough to anticipate what an idiot I am(must of read some my posts, and put the pieces together. FGI, maybe I don't know.) he moved us back to 10:18.
The Day:
If a guy was gonna cut out of work, make a man on man interweb date, and go play golf.....This was the day to do it. When you hear us Minnesotans bitch all winter long about how *feces*ty this place is, and wonder why we stay; This is the pay off. Beautiful. Blue sky. Sunshine, high 70's. Good as it gets.
The Course:
Chaska Town Course. This place felt like a resort course. Upscale, but not snobby. The course was in great condition, and the staff were friendly, and very good.
The Man:
Fuzz is as good as it gets. To say he's one of the nicest guys you can meet is cliche`, but I'll go with it, because it's true. He met me the parking lot, and I knew as he was driving up, this was gonna be a great day. We hit off, and by the first tee, it was like we had been friend all of our life. This dude, is also the shizzle. Knows the game, is the consummate professional, and can flat out play.
We're going along all day, have the time of our life. He's laughing joking, teasing me, drinking beer(see below), hitting the ball......Who knew!! That crafty little sumbich shot a **! Never said a word about it. Class act. Thank you Dave. I am proud to call you my friend, and look forward to spending much more time with you.
The round:
We were playing our GHRC round, so I won't go into details. Other than [virtual]Hat off, shake Seamus' hand, and congratulate him on a win.[/virtual]
Oh, and whovever drew Fuzz....LOL You're *fudge*ed.
And by that, I mean you're *fudge*ed. You too, Captain TIT. In fact, this was a little inpiration for us.
So........Where was I?
Well, the fun really started on the back nine. I played ok, had fun. The course record was in no danger. Well other than Fuzz. Drove the ball ok. Some bad iron shots. Wedges, and short game were good. Couldn't putt.
Quit cogitating Steinmetz! Get to the pictures.
[This round deserved a lot more pictures, and there are only a couple of Dave, and I. If you want more, I'll email you a pictorial of me. Costanza style. I kept forgetting the camera in the cart (buggy for *funbags*) and with the beer in one hand, and the club(or my *8==>* on most shots) I had no room to carry it.
I give you GolfHos 2007 Chaska. stroh and fuzzy.
I planned to slide this in little plastic dealie the have on the carts, but noooo. Not at this high falutin' joint. So I taped it on the front like any good Oak Grove redneck does.
A couple of ForeSkins.
Suffice to say, early, and often.
So we get this hole, and Fuzz tells me I can cut alittle off the dog leg going right. oh, I went right. The perspective on this picture is a little off. It looks like I was
way off our hole, and closer to the green we had just played.
Turns out, the ideal play was what Dave did. Straight up the gut, in the fairway. Who knew.
This pic. was for E-A-G-L-E! 'cause she like scenery, and stuff.
Par 3 4th. Ya'll look at these, and get a free lesson.
Le Fuzz.strohdagsBest line of the day, was deliverd by Fuzz. They paired us with a single. Jeff. Great guy, and great player as well. Had a lot of fun. In fact, i hope he joins here.
We're on 10, and he say's "Mike, Right on this hole is no good". Almost like he knows me or something.
I hit. We drive up, and Dave says "Mike.
Right is no good., and
right there.....is worse."
Assclown! I showed him. I got it right out. About a foot. And then chunked an 8 iron to about 100 yards, then thinned a chip, and 3 putted. I showed his ass.
Why bring it up you ask? Well, I'll tell you. As it turns out, it would be the theme for the day. To steal from Blader; It was exactly like LOST, only not realy.
Here's what I mean.
Number 2.
Number 3. I nutted this ball.
There was a number four, but with pure asshattery, Fuzz said, "I ain't grabbing the camera again, you can just post that same picture twice."
Well played my friend. Well played.
See that white dot on the green? Whose your daddy??!!
Remeber that sweet swing Fuzz on the par3? Ha! here he is on another par 3. He is teh sukk.
LOL *fudge*er got it up and down though.
I'll wrap it up, with a little "Glory Story". I hit a great shot on this hole. My best swing of the day. Made the birdie. My first and only of the day. And that's all I got say about that.
Well, with a tear in my eye, and a lump in my throat, I'll close. I had the time of my life. Dave, thank you for a wonderful day. I didn't want it to end.
Well. It started with Big Brother Dunk, and APTech.(same experience).
Who's next?
Are you on the list?
Mike
