Memorial Day
« on: May 28, 2007, 10:01:43 AM »

Whatcha doin'?

I played in a scramble yesterday, and finished with a visit to one of my new co-workers, for an open house(drink fest), and then went to the host of the scramble for a big Beer-B-Que.  Drank Margaritas from a ball with a pump spout.  Don't ask me, but they were good.  (from what I remember  Anonymous )

Today, heading to the B.I.L's place for a cookout, and more beer.

Which reminds me.  I won't start a new thread, because it's GolfHos.  If a guy can't 'jack his own thread.........

What do you call this?

The first time we played it, the guy that made it called it "Hookey Bob".  I've heard "Ladder Golf", and Karen just bought me one, and the box, it's called "BlingoGolf".

We'll be playin' that today.

'Tis a tortuous looking device.  Shocked

Wife actually has to work, will BBQ later, I'm heading to the puppy park to let Ozzy play, a little yard work, a little golf practice, I'm still struggling with that 50-60 yard shot, anybody ever hit a 68 degree wedge?

It's a beautiful Pacific Northwest day, gonna be mid 60's, a nice little breeze coming in from the ocean, ain't life grand?

Take time to remember those we lost today, freedom is never free, and it's just another word for nothing left to lose.

Friday night: Beers at the Penn Brewery, with live jazz.
Saturday. Doing mostly nothing, watched the Spurs and eating chicken and noodle bowls.
Sunday. Watched POTC III. Spectacular, yet predictable. Had chicken apricot curry with friends, played with a pug, got buzzed on SS Rumtastics.
Today. Burgers in the horizon.

Workin'  Sad

I'm the only one in the house NOT working. Hump but I've got about five home projects lined up, so I wish I was working.

Maybe I'll play some http://www.laddergolf.com/ online

Weird-looking contraption.  I guess the goal is to toss your balls on a rope so they hang on the contraption?

I'll be at home all day today.  Did some yardwork this morning. Probably work on personal programming projects until dinner.

The good thing about getting old, is that you can hit the ball out of sight.

http://www.laddergolf.com...r-golf-official-rules.php

Basically you try to toss a couple of golf balls, attached with a cord, and get them to hang on the rungs of the ladder thingy. Different point values for each rung, bonuses, etc.
