Grilled Cheese In The VCR?

Sorta.  Came home to the boss a little terse.  Later discover the TV remote with the batteries out.......propped up with the dishes.  Apparently there was an incident.  Roll Eyes   An accident, by the younger partner of the firm. Tongue

Across the counter........straight into the sink full of soapy water.  HOOO Buddy.  Glad I wasn't there.  Embarrassed Lips Sealed

I just threw the batteries back in, and ....nada.  Got the screwdriver, and cracked her open(the remote  Wink )  and it was still pretty moist.  Hopefully it comes back.

About 2 years ago my middle son poured water into our brand new TV. He came in telling me the TV wasn't working. When I looked at it and saw the water it was everything I could do from killing him.

The TV dried out and is working fine. Tell your wife it could have been the TV.

Our newest associate did something to the remote that came with our TV.  The remote that costs $40 to replace.  ON EBAY.  Something like $65 from the manufacturer.

He's most certainly not making partner this year or next.

I remember taking in a VCR for repair that wouldn't accept a tape. Got it back with a couple of toy soldiers that had been removed from the tape carrier taped on top.  Roll Eyes

Waaay back, when cordless phones were still new tech, my oldest (27 now) dumped a glass of water over a new Cobra phone.  Before his Mom got home, we tore it apart, dried the insides carefully with a hair dryer, and put it back together.  It worked!

I still hold this over him. Devil

Kids had a 44" HDTV in their bedroom, we thought it would be safer because they couldn't pull it off a shelf or cabinet and crush themselves since it freestands.

One day it stopped working.

My son had watered it to 'make it grow.'

You may legally adopt me.

My daughter smeared a large jar of Vaseline into the carpet in her room.  Just so you know, Stanley Steamer really does back up their "if we say we can get it out we'll keep coming back until it's out" policy.

I've heard a story about me as a child putting a PBJ into my parents VCR (actually a Beta).
