Brezhnev took Afghanistan. Begin took Beirut. Galtieri took the Union Jack. And Maggie, over lunch one day, Took a cruiser with all hands. Apparently, to make him give it back.

OK, I'm slow today. Wikipedia doesn't have an entry for Falklands Day. What are we celebrating?

Has anybody ever seen this Final Cut music video? It stars the same dude that played the teacher in Pink Floyd The Wall. This video is actually a medley of 4 songs: The Gunner's Dream The Final Cut Not Now John The Fletcher Memorial Home

OK, I'm slow today. Wikipedia doesn't have an entry for Falklands Day. What are we celebrating? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Falkland_warBTW, I sit politically on the fence with respect to this war. When I bought this album (I think it was for $.01 through BMG) back in high school, I had no idea any of the songs were protesting the military actions in the Falklands. I just enjoyed hearing David Gilmour sing "*fudge* all that!"

Sounds like a good enough reason to have a beer. What's a good drink to re-live 1982?
