I can take this one...

"Yinzer" is slang for Pittsburgher.  Many Pittsburghers have a horribly ugly and uneducated sounding accent/manner of speaking.  One of the traits of this is the creation of the word "yinz", as in "What are yinz guys doing tonight?"  or "Yinz are a bunch of jagoffs." ("jagoff" being another regional vocabulary gem).

Yinz = pronoun meaning plural you.  It's regional dialect.

Aske - since I'm equating your continued yinzer status as meaning the Chicago deal didn't work out - sorry to have you continue on around here.

well, Chitown would have been interesting, and a better job, but I like da Burgh a lot, and would miss it considerably.

more than anything, I am just mad that I told them upfront, I would need a decision by june 29, they agreed, flew me out, interview/tour, then decided NOT to make a decision by june 29.

meh

A yinzer is a stereotypical blue-collar Pittsburgh native, named for his or her heavy Pittsburgh English accent that features frequent use of the word yinz, or "you ones". Yinzer is often a term of endearment and pride among Pittsburghers and those from the surrounding areas.

Recently merchandise, bumperstickers and license plates have picked up on the unique Yinz and Yinzer as a way to display Pittsburgh pride. They have proven popular with many that have migrated out of the Pittsburgh area but are still sentimental about their roots in the city and region.

Perhaps the most notable fictional yinzer is "Stanley P. Kachowski", a character on the WDVE morning show voiced by Jim Krenn.

The yinzer stereotype often includes the following facets:

    * European ethnic heritage, such as Irish-American, Italian-American, or Eastern European (particularly Polish)
    * Heavy Pittsburgh accent
    * Working-class employment, particularly Blue Collar
    * Men: the ubiquitous "creepy Pittsburgh mustache"
    * Women: big hair and overdone makeup
    * Rabid support of the Pittsburgh Steelers via mass amounts of Steeler paraphernalia even when its not football season
    * Diet: pierogies, kielbasa, cabbage, pizza, hoagies, and chipped ham sandwiches
    * Drink: Iron City Beer, I.C. Light, "pop"

also, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pittsburgh_English   for extensive pittsburgh vocabulary.  lol
