If I didn't have bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all. Soon as the turn shows 10 I'm thinking "not the eigh.......*fiddlesticks*!!!!" good thing it was for play chips and not real money else i'd be real pissed. (anyone notice my game name?)

sucks indeed. i've done some note taking and found most of these 'play' $ games generate WAYYYYYY too many hands... something like up to 30% pocket pairs, and 10% sets... LMAO. one reason why i'm leary to play them for any real $ (aside from the illegality, of course  ) |

(no real detail on how you bet it given...) anyways, I assume you slow played those pocket rockets preflop... after the flop... and especially when the turn (straight, flush draw) came you really should have forced your hands dominance and put him all in. of course, online, fake $, and 'generated' hands, opponent would probably have called all in on a 4 outer.

All in before flop, but head to head I'm 9 to 1 on anything he's got. flop comes out 3 J 9 i'm good. T on the turn and I'm thinking um.....not the ei....8 hits and I'm thinking WTF!?!?!? |

That would have sucked if it had been real money. Just another reason I don't play for real with anyone other than my friends. You can be smart as hell, have all the odds figured out and still get screwed....

Yea....been there with real money too at a casino the other week. Latest screwage was... I'm holding pocket Q's on the big blind. Middle position raises to 20 on a $3/$6. everyone folds including small blind. I raise all in with $40, he calls, shows pocket 8's against my Q's. He's not too happy. Flop comes out, random cards, then the turn. At this point I know I have the worst luck on the rivers so I'm thinking...no joke...."not an eig......" as the 8 hits on the river. I have the worst luck with 8's I guess. |

I wonder that sometimes too, but I think it just comes down to psychology. I play a lot of casino hands too, and I notice anytime there's 1 pocket pair, there's almost always another pocket pair. I think it just boils down to the fact that we forget the hands where there's a pocket pair, but only remember when a higher pocket pair beats a lower pocket pair. Also, most people play more online hands than they do casino hands in their life, so this occurs more often with online games. (just a thought) as for donkclowniness....yea people are just retarded. |

play a 'play$' headsup game and count hte # of pocket pairs (since a good # of hands get played out, and you know what you have....).... it sure beats the stats on what it should be (about .06 occurrnce...)
