Dolby Pro Logic (It's an older unit, so that's pretty much what I've got for surround sound).

Dolby Pro Logic IIx

how are you liking that? do you have it on full 7.1 ?   if so, do you adjust the gain to any channels or take it as straight output from the dolby matrix?   i run dolby pro II on a lot of sources and sometimes the center just dominates too much

Loving it.  Yes, set at 7.1 and gain is adjusted to prevent fronts (including center) from dominating.

On my Pioneer Elite, I set it to whatever the program source is encoded in.  IE, if it's Dolby 5.1, I put it on Dolby.  If it's DTS, I set it to DTS, and if it's THX, that's what I set it on.

Before you ask, ASKE, I only have 5 speakers.
