Anybody going? Gone? Take your top off?
I've never been. I don't own a bike, but it sounds like a lot of fun.

The biggest problem I'd have with going to Sturgis (well, aside from the fact that I no longer own a motorcycle) is that it's in Sturgis.

I've been twice, and though I am not a big fan of Harleys and inflated prices, I've managed to have a pretty good time. IMO, Daytona Bike Week is much better.

Yeah, I almost put that in the post. I've heard that is quite a time.

On a family trip one year we accidentally ended up in Sturgis, it was cool to see a million Harleys on 4 acres of land. My next door neighbor goes every year, he brings back pics!

Joseph Smith said it's ok for you to go.

I'd go, but I don't have a motorcycle trailer.

Never been to Sturgis, don't own or ride a motorcycle, and the whole mystique surrounding the 'Outlaw Harley Rider Image' escapes me, given that it's almost a complete myth with it's roots going back to cowboys.
OTOH, I used to catch the occasional beer with this guy at a local watering hole in the East Bay, and Arlen Ness was a customer of mine when I worked in Fremont, Ca.
Any of you Harley guys know who the guy in the pic is?

I drive by the brand spanking-new Arlen Ness World Headquarters all the time. That place is freaking huge!

I'd say probably not... I don't own a bike, and well Sturgis is a little far away, and besides I don't have time to grow a beard...

I drive by the brand spanking-new Arlen Ness World Headquarters all the time. That place is freaking huge! Ness (Sr) used to live right behind the Winston Tire Store in Fremont, and he'd come in every so often. It was also fun to see what he was riding to work that day (and Arlen ALWAYS rode to work) because of course he didn't leave until 9:30 or so.... I used to live a few blocks from the old shop in Haywierd, and there were a few bars between there and Niles you could run into some of the OG boys at. Niles is where I met Sonny Barger. They used to have a BBQ every Sunday afternoon in Niles, where'd they'd all sit and laugh at the investment bankers trailering their 'Hawgs' to do the run from Niles to whatever the *fudge* the name of that little town up in the canyon is. Fun times....
