Have you got anything planned for this weekend!

Russell & I are going to Atherton, for the Atherton Open. About 6-7 other people from our club are going as well. We are all staying at the same place (a pub ), so it should be lots of fun. Atherton is about an hour & a half drive, west of here, up in the mountains, so it will be freezing. I'm not looking forward to the cold weather. What are you guys up to.

Other than golf saturday morning I have no plans. The baby stayed at the in-laws last weekend so we'll probably just run some errands and such. Thinking about going to the Muscle Car Ranch in my wife's hometown. It is a redneck car festival with great bands playing. But with it being so hot I doubt my boy can make it so unless we find a sitter for a few hours it's a no go.

No plans. I'm hoping for a quiet weekend. Just had my parents stay with us for the last four days.

No, and I'm glad. I might purchase a book of crochet patterns for doilies. And I definitely need a notebook for all the patterns I'm writing up myself (my grandma designed a ton, but didn't write them down. She did that as she did everything - by "ear", in this case by sight. Now, I want to duplicate some of them.) I might purchase some thread, too.

This weekend may well be the much-postponed father-child Weekend Road Trip I've been wanting to do for a couple months now. Nothing like traveling with a toddler and no mommy to build a man's character.
Or I'll stay home, do odd jobs around the house, and try to figure out the joke surrounding Uisce's screen name.

1. Working Saturday. Almost finished preparing to move our entire server farm to the new ownership. I'll be glad when that's over. Golfing Sunday AM. Cooking for step-father's birthday party Sunday MP. 2. Happy birthday worst_golfer_ever. 3. No mystery about my screen name. No joke either. It's simply all about the whiskey - you huge doofus.

So Clive, what did you decide on buying, to entertain your son in the car, for your trip! I'm sure we had a thread on it!

Work, actually. I'm back to my old job in retail sales after 10 or so months in insurance. Loved the concept of insurance, and the helping people aspect, but not some of the issues. I won't belabor the issues, as I had mentioned some of them in another thread. Suffice it to say, that I love retail sales, especially within my areas, Hardware, lawn and garden and fitness equipment. As you might see fronm my typing, today is a day off, and the gin is flowing well. Alas, retail sales means weekends, but I don't mind.

That's funny, I've never heard anyone describe Queensland as "freezing"
