The PLAYOFFS! Aside from the Fed Ex Cup goofiness, Westchester CC is a great course and runs counter to the modern notion that only long, boring courses can keep scoring in check.

The PLAYOFFS! Ernie Els offered his opinion yesterday. Sounded a lot like yours.

The should call it the Contrived Cup. Is anyone really hanging on the edge of their seats to see if Frank Lictliter manages to avoid playoff elimination by finishing T-38 or better this week?
I don't really mind the format, and I don't mind that they're trying to spice up the fall finish. I mind that they constantly remind me as if I should care, which I don't.
This is the first round of the playoffs and Tiger Woods blew it off. Enough said.

Not at all. The real season begins now. (I'm even starting to grow my playoff beard)

Doesn't number one usually get a bye in the first round anyway?

Looks like it should be a good finish.
I'm disappointed in the Bettis and Simms "pga playoff" commercials with Furyk and Els. Good concept, but the commercials fell flat.
