I'm a Kj Choi wannabe I guess...Ordered the SuperSroke Grip

I had a $30 credit at Myclubmaker and decided to pull the trigger on the SuperStroke most notably used by KJ Choi.  I'm a pretty decent putter that has gotten better by using a higher MOI putter shilled on FGI by a certain Californian putter maker.

But I still find that I can get yippy with my hands mainly causing me to pull putts.  I am pretty good at reading greens and speed, so when I'm putting on line I can make putts. 

I thought about trying the belly putter but haven't been able to try one.  The Golf Galaxy near me has zero on the floor to try.  Doesn't make much since with Sergio's recent success using one. 

I really like the concept of the large putter grips in quieting the hands and adding lots of backweight.  I really could care less how it looks.  I'd hold the putter with my anus if it helped me make more putts.

So we'll see how goes it.  I'll post a review when I get the chance to try it out. 

OK two rounds and still unsure about it.  I really like how it smooths out my stroke and feel comfortable putting with it.  However, I am still streaky as hell while using it.  And I've had quite a few 3 putts usually stemming from a terrible first putt.  My main problem with it is on long putts and making solid contact.  I know that is more me thinking about my stroke and what not but it is hurting my score.  OTOH, I've made some great putts and really have been the best I've ever been at the 5-25 feet range.  One hole I'll sink a 15 footer with some break then 3 putt the next.  So no big difference than before accept for me making a few more putts in that range then quickly negating that by losing putts on the long ones. 



I am still going to give it a chance then I may hit up Chin for a new grip.

I miss Clive too, but I fear not even quoting fond memories of Bandon will bring him back.  YMMV.
