I'm actually going to attempt to play golf today.....

I haven't held a club in six weeks, and it was six weeks before that the last time I played. A buddy, (who really likes to drink, and I ain't talking Stroh) called me yesterday and asked me to join and fill out a foursome. Okay, why not? I'll pick up a case of beer on the way to the course, there are four of us playing you know. I'm gonna carry 5w, 7w, 9w, 5-PW, 52, 60 (very firm sand at the course we're playing) 64,68, and putter. The course is 6800 yards 71.6/128. I'll fill you all in on the futility of it all later today.  |

I don't play golf anymore. Well, maybe I do sort of. I quit keeping score, started drinkning beer and I started playing better.

Thanks for all the kind wishes. I went 49 and 44 today. If I coulda sunk a putt............  Drank some beer, did the Uisce thing on the first tee, had a good time. Might even play tommorrow.............  |

That's okay, when I said "let's never speak of this hole again" it was before I realized that it was going to be pretty much the story of my entire game. Mark gave it a good effort at DQ when he flew the green on 16 with both his first shot and his provisional.

You know to numb the pain. I did find a chrysalis on the grip of my 9 iron during the round though LOL! Only lost two balls to the water gods. I'm down to 10 golf balls total. If (I mean when, we have an 8:30 tee time) I play tommorrow, I'll have to be careful. |
