No, Jules, its really true.  Minnesota is full of people with extremely unusual fetishes/public restroom behaviors.

When I'm driving through, I gas up on one of the borders and lock the doors.

Just for fun.  However, I disagree with the definition of uffdah - at least, to me, it's always been this version.  Didn't read the whole list, so there might be that will never be part of my vocabulary even when I want my Minnesota accent to be thick.

I've used it a few times.  Such as "Uffdah! You're getting to be a big boy" when I pick up Garrett.  I guess that would be a combination of "wow!" and "ugh, your getting heavy".  It's also one of those words that I either use it a lot or I don't use it at all.  I'll go years without saying it, then use it several times a week for a month, then none at all again. 

I hope you're not just now figuring that out; I've known that for quite some time.
