Vile fruit

My coworker who is of Asian descent brought to work today some durian wafers (cookies). She was so excited about them, I just felt bad telling her that I find durians to be utterly revolting in every single sense. I choked one of them down to humor her and politely declined a second, citing a desire to limit my caloric intake. That was at 2:00 pm today. I am still burping up the *fudge*ed up repugnant *feces* that is the flavor of durian. It made this evenings workout particularly difficult. Those of you who have tasted durian should know what I'm talking about. Those of you who haven't, don't. And those of you who claim to actually like the nasty things, wtf is wrong with you?

I've tried something even more vile that durian--stinky tofu. Imagine French kissing someone with really, really, really bad halitosis. It's 10 times worse than that.

I had it, and I agree with your assessment. Now speaking of yummy Asian food, my family stopped by on their annual pilgrimage to Wisconsin this Sunday, and my favorite Filipino aunt (OK my only Filipino aunt) brought me a bunch of her lumpia, god bless her heart...a treat I relish here in the land of meat and potatoEs.

I bought some durian at Safeway once because I was shocked to see it in the produce section.(looked like it had been frozen). The wife and I both had a taste and had had enough. Fortunately, our beagle liked it, so we gave the rest of it to him.

Things To Do
1. See remake of Halloween 2. Try durian wafers 3. Mock things I don't understand

LOL! Way to take one for the team. I never heard of it either. One of the fellows I used to work with at The U was from Lebanon. He brought in some *feces* his mom made and sent over. Baklava, or some weird *feces* like that. I ate one small piece and yakked the rest. "Sorry dude. It just ain't my deal." Reminded me of eating dates in Indy ROTLA. Wasn't poison what killed the monkey.

Baklava does not rock! No clava rocks! Except maybe a balaclava. They can be warm, but they are definitely not in any dessert category. Ottoman donut my ass! Hate it! Hate it!!

x2 It's OK. It's a little too sweet for me. After one bite, I can feel my teeth rotting.

I love Baklava, and I generally don't like desserts.
