BIG BREAK MESQUITE [SPOILERS]
« on: October 09, 2007, 06:36:25 PM » |
|
I caught the replay of the premiere from last night and actually enjoyed it.
I liked the faster pace/quicker editing so that there's more action and less recap/buildup/slomo on every shot. Plus there was less time spent on things like watching them eat breakfast.
Lots of interesting players this time.
Anyone else watching?

Good review. I agree completely.
I swore this show off, but watched the opener, and got sucked back in. Watching it on and off right now in fact.
I doubt I make an attempt to see every episode, like I did with 1-3, but I prob. will not avoid it.

After your review I may have to watch again. I've become somewhat anti "reality" show the past couple of years for a variety of reasons.

My first impressions: The host works my last good nerve. The talent pool is better that previous years. I like the flow of the show, like it was noted earlier, they are actually on the course and not in the house. Because the show moves well, the annoying host says very little.

The host works my last good nerve. Yeah, I'm not sure where they found that guy. I'm also not sure what irks me about him. He almost has a pröño actor vibe about him, not that I have any idea what that vibe is.

Watched what I think was episode #2 last night. Definitely some better players than versions past. What was with the contrived show-down between those one two guys? I thought we'd have drama the rest of the show and we got nuttin' but good (mostly) golf and the odd comment from the Walker Cup kid about how annoying other people are. re: Hosts. Stephanie Sparks has that totally hot girl-next-door quality. I suspect you guys are talking about the other guy.

He almost has a pröño actor vibe about him, not that I have any idea what that vibe is. Weird. He bothers me, too, but I have no idea why. I think it's because he seems really detached when he says his lines, like he doesn't want to be there.

It's no shock why he's gone nowhere despite of, by all accounts, his talent. That dude is mental, and it seemed obvious from the footage (editing?) that he was not going to make it out of that elimination. He had convinced himself that he had been jobbed in the first place and the rest was just self fulfillment.
