As you all know I can't play you-tube etc etc, and the play button is on the persons face, I am guessing it is a young Rod Stewart!!
Am I right!

No. The guy in question is wearing the print jacket in this photo from around the same time (1967 or 68) (2d from the right, top)

Okay this is fun, as I can only see part of the person's face.
Second guess, Mick Jagger.

Try again.
It's an American musician who went on to become famous more for hus behavior than his music.

Where's that overrated thread? BTW, isn't he a bit right-leaning for your tastes?

He didn't become a clown until the early 90's.
His middle 70's albums Stranglehold, Free For All (with Meatloaf on vocals on 2 or 3 tracks) and Cat Scratch Fever was what was happening in the era JUST before Punk broke.
On edit:
I don't think he's 'Overrated', except maybe in light of his recent foibles. He's a decent rock guitarist, not Page or Hendrix for sure, but still a good solid player.
I don't think he's ever claimed to be anything else, musically.

Seriously one of the best live performers I've ever seen. 1980 The Scorpions w/ Michael Schenker opened for Teddy. Man oh Man. "My ears will melt and then my eyes"

Anyone who can say that you should speak english to live in America and then have the balls to appear on stage in an Indian chief's headdress doesn't quite sit right with me. To each his/her own, I s'pose.
He opened for KISS a couple of years back, we went to the bar instead and showed up just in time to miss him. Haven't worried about it too much. I would rather listen to The Eagles.

It only counts if you also like Styx.
