I can think of worse places they could be. And at least the attempt at rehab seems sincere which is all you can ask of the system I suppose. Now I sure wouldn't want to live there. I'd even rather live in a typical cookie cutter urban sprawl spec home neighborhood which is only marginally less scary IMO.

I used to live on the Venice plain, which really is flat for about 100 miles.
