What ever was the outcome of you car?  I don't remember seeing a follow up thread.  Still got it?  Did you ever persue anything with JiffLube?

The car has been to the mechanic to have a number of things checked on it (compression, etc) and everything checks out. I've had the oil powerflushed and changed a couple of times (at Tunex) just to make sure if there was any debris left, it would hopefully be flushed out of the system. Engine sounds good, except for the valves are noisy, but they've always been noisy. I suspect if I were going to have a serious problem I would have had it by now. My attorney (dad) did send a letter putting Jiffylube on notice but I don't think at this point it makes any difference.

We took Laura's car in to Jiffylube a few weeks ago and they broke the dipstick off in the engine and we had to take the car to the dealer to get it fixed. A few years back they broke the thermostat of her old car. I think we're done going to Jiffylube.

Tunex does a good job, unfortunately it's not drive up service so we have to make appointments for oil changes. C'est la vie.
