I graduated the 'trucker' school today.......

The first of my class to do so. Not first in class mind you, just the first one. My state exam is scheduled for Friday the 2nd. When I pass that, I will most likely be in Des Moines for 2 weeks, then I'm on the road.
Since I have a week off, I'm sitting here drinking some home brew (I didn't/don't brew it) that is reportedly an 8% heavy lager, being self congratulatory. (it must be, cause I'm gettin' a buzz after two)
People do stupid *feces* in front of big trucks. You'd never understand until you experience it. Funny how they'll cut you off in traffic with inches to spare, and then drive off the shoulder to keep 10 feet between me and them when I'm sitting still at a traffic light.
I don't remember if I saw it here or elsewhere but search YouTube for the song 'Show them to Me' by Rodney Carrington. One of the best country/western songs EVAR!

I don't play golf anymore. Well, maybe I do sort of. I quit keeping score, started drinkning beer and I started playing better.

Very cool PB.
When I was about 18 I started a job delivering/packing sheetrock (*goshdarn* Popeye forearms I tell ya). On the second day on the job the manager told the owner to piss off and everyone in the place was elevated one position. I was told to head on down to DMV in a 5-ton flatbed and get my class-C. So I'm learning how to drive a split axle on the way down to take the test. LOL.
Oh, and I learned all about air brakes at a traffic light along the way. The smoke from the tires lingered for the duration of the light. The guy with me was losing it. Thank God we were empty or I'd have endo'd.

Well, did you pass your test! Yeah, I did. Amazing really, especially considering the state I was usually in those days.
