Doesn't matter what needs to be done within the house or the exterior of the house. I am mandated to hire professionals to get it done. Wife knows that I can't change light bulbs without making a mess.

Almost 1:1 ratio of hours worked to store visits. Not bad spacey, not bad at all.

In case anyone thinks I'm exaggerating on the number of trips to the hardware store, I'll sum them up:
1- To buy the faucet, plumber's putty, misc supplies; 2- To buy supply hoses because I didn't realize the old connections were sweated copper tubing; 3- To exchange said supply hoses for longer ones because I'm a dumbass and forgot to measure; 4- To buy parts to fix the drain that was apparently rusted through and broke off when I was working underneath it; 5- To exchange said drain parts for the right size because I'm a dumbass and mistakenly bought 1 1/2" PVC instead of 1 1/4"; 6- To buy a nut to connect the P-trap to the drain pipe in the wall because the old one cracked when I attempted to re-install it.
I think I spent as much on gas as I did on parts. Allow me to restate: I *goshdarn* hate plumbing.

I didn't doubt the trips for a second. I've done exactly the same thing on more than one occasion. Hopefully your wife is happy.

I won't even look at any plumbing project or re-trip to the store that leaves out the mention of Teflon tape.
Sorry.

I have approximately 17 rolls of teflon tape from past plumbing projects with multiple trips to the store, so at least I've got that going for me.

We have an Ace just down the street from us that carries limited selection of common items, I try to go there when possible because it's much more convenient, but as often as not it's just a stop on the way to Home Depot. Yesterday the Ace to Home Depot ratio was 4:2.

I hate replacing faucets because of the tight quarters and rust/corrosion making things hard to remove.
What style did you guys go with, single-handle or separate hot and cold handles?
