Question. Did Peter "Lift" his brother up? Or did he first learn he could fly through some sort of "fight or flight" emotion? And that's why he feels guilty about what happened, 'cause whether he wanted to or not, he kinda cut-n-run.
Or if it was Peter, what power, and whose?
yup nathan flies as an instinct to avoid death/injury in the collision, hence the guilt... peter has the whole dream about it, and is a power mimic/adsorber, so it would be interesting who he was around at that time Weird. I saw that "lifting" motion by Peter while he was dreaming, too, and thought it meant he was lifting his brother out of harms way somehow, but that doesn't jive with what we know of his powers. It was a really strange hand movement, so I thought it meant something. Nathan didn't really look like he was in control as he went straight up out of the car.

the interesting ? is which hero will die before the 'winter vacation' ?
I'm thinking it's going to be either the cop or Nikki/Jessica. I'm guessing it'll be DL since he doesn't always show up in the group promo pictures.

We already know that Jessica is hunting down Nikki's husband, though I'd like to see Nikki learn to control Jessica a bit better.
I'm actually a little disappointed that Jessica is a dead person -- that makes Nikki more possessed than a hero.
I think the cop is more likely to go than Nikki's husband, though.

Hmm, in the commercials, they show a handgun going off when the voiceover says "a hero will fall.." or something like that. That could be anyone. OK, here's my updated theory: Jessica kills DL, but somehow his spirit jumps over into the same body as Jessica and Niki. (they can convey this by having Niki walk between two facing mirrors and show Jess and DL in alternating reflections infinitely)

Another solid episode. The "fallen hero" was a bit of a surprise. Looks like Nikki's love for Micah is how she will control Jessica. Big twist with the Haitian, also looks like cheerleader's daddy isn't squarely in the good guy column. January 22nd? WTF?!?

bennet under the control of someone (bu$hco? , linderman)- check haitian a mole, or a double-crosser, or something- super power to neutralize others powers? peter petrelli the bomb?- must be near the radioactive man, or sylar at some point eden- courageous, but .... she seemed the most powerful of all.. sylar- how did they all underestimate his strength? that was insane! ... can he eat her dead brain to gain her power? mohindar- obviously with eden dead and not revealing the truth to him, he's gonna go seek it out now... isaac drawing without the dragon, as expected hiro- seeming less useful by the week, but they had given him lots of face time, maybe its for the best... a big surprise later niki/jessica- dl-micah... where is this storyline going?

I wondered, when Bennet told Sylar his powers wouldn't work in the cell, if somehow the Haitian was blocking them or if there was some other external forces preventing his powers from working. It occurred to me that the reason they worked when Eden went in might be because the Haitian wasn't there. Eden was stupid. Sylar seems too powerful for any single Hero to take on at once. I'm with you on the Peter Petrelli is the bomb by his proximity to radioactive man, I'm guessing Sylar has something to do with it as well. Does Matt forgive his wife or does he get it on with the FBI agent? Also, at this point I'm wondering what Clair's role actually is since it seems she's mostly been a red herring and/or a plot device for her father's character development.

Also, at this point I'm wondering what Clair's role actually is since it seems she's mostly been a red herring and/or a plot device for her father's character development. I wondered about that cell, too, and why it could hold Sylar. It couldn't have been solely dependent on the Haitian because he couldn't stay there all the time, he's got to help out the cheerleader's dad on tasks, like at the police station or wiping people's minds. For a second, I thought maybe Sylar didn't receive full telekinesis from the first person he killed, but more of a mastery over metal (like Magneto), and the cell was made of plastic, and that power was only usable later when Eden brought in the metal gun, which he manipulated to break the glass. But looking at it closer, that probably wasn't it since Bennet's glasses probably have metal screws in them and the door for the food tray sounded metallic. The more disturbing theory is that Sylar could have broken out of the cell at any time (when the Haitian wasn't there), but was waiting for Eden in order to steal her powers. Random things I may have imagined: - What caused Peter Petrelli to develop the cough and later collapse? It was in the police station, but was it the cop, Bennet, or the Haitian that triggered it? Maybe Peter, as a power mimicker/absorber didn't react well to the Haitian, a power negator? - in the dream/vision at the end, was Nathan about to grab the exploding Peter and fly him out of the city? - I'm thinking that Niki/Jessica is a red herring. A lot of her story has been explained and there doesn't seem to be a lot of interaction between her storyline and the main story arc. I can't even remember if she shows up in the Manhattan vision at the end, where everyone else converges. During her scenes in last night's episode, I kept hoping they would cut away from the Niki story to focus on everyone else.

My assumption was much simpler: he died when he fell, Claire's healing powers healed him, but since healing is her power and not his it didn't "take." He seemed to look much better when she was in the cell with him. Perhaps without an ongoing healing power, his body thinks it should be dead? [Actually, now that I read it, I don't know that my theory is any simpler than yours. lol]
