Board Game Gift Ideas

Anyone play any good board games recently?
I'm thinking these might make good Christmas presents. The last good board game I played was Ticket to Ride (and Ticket to Ride Europe), which is fun because the learning curve isn't too steep for newbies.
I checked out the lists over at BoardGameGeek.com, but the choices were pretty overwhelming.
Has anyone played any of these games or have any other suggestions of good board games? Carcassonne Wits & Wagers Puerto Rico Power Grid

We bought Trivial Pursuit Greatest Hits (combined questions from the 80s, 90s, and Pop Culture editions), which is pretty fun, but we started recycling questions by the 3rd time we played it. Probably going to get the Genus 6 edition soon.
We also like Scattergories, and Apples to Apples. Both are fun but require at least 4 people to play, and are better with more. We also play Scene-it, but only while drinking.

Sequence is my favorite board game. We play it all the time. Good for children (~7 and up) through adults. Easy to learn, easy to play, good fun. Goes well with beer and deluxe mixed nuts.
I think Santa might deliver DVD Clue this year.

No help here. Never cared that much for them.
The most I do is get dragged into a game of Trouble with my daughter. Pop-O-Matic, baby.

But you have to play it according to rules promulgated by Blader Industries, which I'm not at liberty to publish.

Actually, we have a good number of games, but we never seem too interested in playing them.
