I think someone started a thread like this last year. Probably Claven. Favorite, or most memorable toy. I've posted a few of mine as avatars. I had a Big Trak, (actually never got a Mattel football ) Had a Starbird. I also had 2 of those chopper dealies that gleek has in his avatar. Neat stuff. [Edit:] I tried to search for spacey's bag of glass. Bag of ass is funnier.

Hmm, on second thought, maybe the original Lego castle. The yellow one.

If I gotta pick one, simply for the hours occupying me... Starbird was cool too, but this was better: And too many cannibalized Lego sets all tossed into one big box to list.

Although the Vertibird is one of the most memorable toys that I received for Xmas, it lasted only a few minutes before my dog attacked and killed it. Since UB already mentioned the Atari 2600, I have to go with this one:

Colecovison Donkey Kong was awesome! I still remember the trick for getting Mario to climb the ladders faster.

I got an Atari 2600 for Christmas a couple of years ago...not as fun I remember it being. The football and baseball are horribly boring, though I remember play them for hours as kid. Now it just sits collecting dust, I should probably put it on E-Bay and rid of it.

I could never get past the first few screens. I was teh sukk. Never made it to the conveyors with the pies. But I remember like yesterday, when I first saw it. It was indescribable. It was the arcade version. I could only think, no more quarters! And, I don't live here, so I can't play it as much as I want.

LOL I think the enjoyment of Atari came more from the competition than the actual gameplay. There was no greater enjoyment then burning my brother for a long pass play when he selected a run-defense formation. Or, I should say "THE" run-defense formation. IIRC, there were only two plays to choose from. LOL

We had Pong before the Atari 2600. I loved the 2600! Vertibird was cool as well.
