I used a really old barber in college.  The guy was great although you could tell his eyes were starting to fail him.  Still used the old straight razor on the neck.

The only time I've been cut during a haircut was by a young woman who nicked my ear with scissors.  Wasn't a major cut, but took a while to stop bleeding.

Best have I've ever had came from a barber who couldn't have been younger than 85, and had apparent palsy of some sort. Dude knew his way around a straight razor, though.
