Pack up a bunch of *feces*, got to the out-laws, sit around and drink to the point of near incontinence incoherence, pack up a bunch of different *feces*, and come home.
Tradition.

Work my ass off to get everything done before I leave for my folks' house (it's their turn this year).
Not really expecting anything. The spawn is getting some cool stuff, though.

Having dinner at the in-laws Sunday night. Then dinner at my aunts with the whole family on Christmas Eve. I'm trying to make Christmas Day just my wife, son and I hanging out at home.
I'm getting some good stuff. A new watch, coat, jeans, boots.

Dinner/festivities at my parents' place on the 24th. The wife is working all day (12 hours) on the 25th. I might go to a friend's place for dinner/drinks in the evening.

Christmas eve night at my parent's house. Christmas morning at home, then over to the Mother's in Law house for the rest of the day. Nothing like a full day and a half of euphoric kids opening presents, stuffing faces with food and the inevitable "Dad this is broken".

grrrrr........We had our plans set. My folks on the 22nd and Susan's on the 23rd (southern MN about an hour apart) and then home for nice quiet Christmas week.
Last weekend we both had siblings pee in the pool and plans fell through. Of course WE were expected to change plans with happy faces and no issues whatsoever. So we are now going to my in-laws on the 25th and my parents on the 29th.
There's more under the surface (parents who think that everyone has to be home together at the same time, Susan volunteering to work on the weekend of the 29th for others and now having to figure something else out) but in the grand scheme of things it isn't all that bad.
Frankly, this is the one time of year I wish we lived a lot further away from relatives. It's much harder to change plans when plane tickets, etc. are involved.

Sunday - Christmas Open House with baked ham, wassail, holiday music, etc. Trying to figure out how/if the NFL fits into those plans.
Monday - Probably work half day. Christmas Eve service in the evening.
Tuesday - Santa in the AM then off to SLC to hang out with our thankfully small family.

Christmas Day with the in-laws.
Our office shuts down for the week, so I'll be kickin' it back at home.
