Logo's on equipment.............................?
« on: December 19, 2007, 03:29:06 PM »

Sorry..couldn't find the thread!

There seemed to be some thoughts as to my logo's being so darn BAD IYO...LOL!

It said December 18th...but was it 2006 or 2007....LOL!  Can't find it now...but better late than never!

But, quite a bit of thought goes into my logo's.......a ton in fact!  The Beanie with the 2 G's and the logo with the nose and eyes and even the AlmoDesigns.  I don't design them because I am "Mad at someone" as one person stated.  I like my logos to have 2 things...#1) Attitude  #2) Clean looking!  I like to make a bold statement with my logos.......The Nike Swoosh means something now...but 30 years ago it was just a 'check mark'!  And all of my logo's started with something...........The Beanie was to bring out the GEEK type look and the nose and eyes really came from the World War II G.I. 'Kilroy was Here' thing!  The AlmoDesigns logo on the FS II came from sort of a spin from SUB POP records in Seattle because of Nirvana was with them...so sort of a homage to the group!  The DOT COM THIS came about as I wanted the club to be GEEK yet have a New York Attitude...so that when hit well...the Geek in question could turn to the foursome as say "Geek That"!  The FAIL SAFE is inspired by the Anti Nuke War book from the 60's of the same name........But it fit the head in this respect as I knew the Proto went straight so it was as if,  "OK...I missed the shot BUT I Failed Safe"!

That is it guys!

The Head Geek at Geek Golf!

Merry Christmas to you and your families!!

Geekgolf.net

No hype for my clubs but that is the best way to see the logos in question!

Wow.  You got hammered in there pretty well.

I don't own any of your clubs, but from what I saw on your website, I wasn't appalled.  Looks all right to me.

My guess is it's pretty hard to sit with blank paper, and draft a "killer" logo.  Seems to be something that people either gravitate heavily too, or avoid.  I have some that I like.  They clash with the ones in that thread, so I'll save my smite tolerance for when I really need it saying something stupid.

FWIW, I personally like the simpler/less is more logos.  Like Snake Eyes!   The finger  All Ya'll!   Devil

You do have some decent designs that convey the message you say is behind them.  If that helps.

And thank you for the kind Holiday wishes.  Merry Christmas to you as well.   Cheers

Indeed.

Sorry Steve, I'll offer no apologies as I still think the graphics on the FailSafe suck, but it also remains among the better drivers I've ever hit. Can't seem to beat the Infiniti ProPulsion 440, but it gives it a pretty good run.

No by all means you must state what is on your mind!  Because of that sort of dialog on another golf website it actually caused me to retool my DCT fairway woods...for the better!  I personally like constructive dialog for the good, bad and ugly!  I can take it...believe me!  I don't like Potshots but I do like people that give honest reviews..on any equipment from any company!  Keep the companies honest...I say!

BTW, if you don't mind on Christmas Day watch the RE/MAX World Long Drive on ESPN 1 PM EST (I believe) and watch Geek kick every companies Arse...LOL!  We took First and Third in the Open Division...Mike Dobbyn (Hitting the Dot Com This) and Jamie Sadlowski (Hitting the FS 2)!

The graphics on the original FS, Aske, DO SUCK you are right!  The FS 2 they look mucho better...I was in a hurry to get the FS in here and they were very sloppy with the paint job!  The FS has been put to sleep!

Thank you all for your honesty!  And Thank you moderators for letting me post!
