Losing a friend
« on: December 21, 2007, 12:54:34 PM »

Y'all know that I'm not much of the sentimental type. I'm sure I might shed a tear or two when, and if, for example, Blader Jr regales me with stories of his first copulatory conquest.  Other than that, I pride myself on staying on a level emotional plane.

But this is a very touching story about life, death and friends.  With the holidays hard upon us, it's even more difficult to read, but also more important.   It's certain to strum your heartstrings and touch your soul.

I normally don't post mushy stuff to everyone, but this one I couldn't help . . .

I'm still choked up over it!

Pete's disposition still appears to be on the sunny-side despite his condition.

Soon to be your local trash man.

I don't play golf anymore.   Well, maybe I do sort of.  I quit keeping score, started drinkning beer and I started playing better.

Not a peep from Blader.  He must still be brooding.  Or in a scramble to clutch a decent Florentine Benediction.
