I am really overdoing it
« on: December 31, 2007, 05:38:46 PM »

This holiday season. Even though I don't do much celebrating. I am eating and Drinking TOO much. I am hitting the YMCA really hard afer the first of the year. I WILL lose the 8# necessary to bring me down to below 200# as soon as possible. My swing speed will increase by >10mph, and my distance will resemble what I had 10 years ago. This is my resolve. You read it first, here.  Cool

If you need any inspiration, today I weigh 23 pounds less than I did 368 days ago. I wouldn't have been thought of as fat but I remember looking in the mirror and not liking the direction I was heading. It wasn't really a New Year's resolution but it happened around that time so I'll go with it.

Seriously, shoot for 8 but lose another 8 and you'll feel even better. That is what happened to me. I just wanted to lose 10 but I kept going. And it was nothing more than exercise and watching what/how much I was eating. I really didn't change my diet much save for the elimination of regular soda and cutting back on chips/snacks/sweets.

Good luck.  Smiley

Actually, I weigh 32 lbs less than I did in the beginning of June. I'm really shooting for the 190 mark, which would be another 18 lbs. I've gone from a 48" suit, with a 44" waist to a 44" suit with a 36" waist. I've been stagnant at this size for ~1-1/2 months, and I really need to start dropping a bit more. All my vital signs are much improved, but I'm after MORE. My goal was to be <200 lbs. by the end of 2007, (I guess I have a half an hour to cut off an arm, or something)  Hide, so I guess I'm a bit disappointed.
Thanksgiving went well, but the last couple of weeks have not. I fell and hurt my ribs, about then, and I've only been to the gym once since.  Sad

While I appreciate the thought you seem to have put into your post, and even though a friend of mine whom I have known since our baby days in the nursery was married ~2 weeks ago, I don't see that for myself for a while yet.
