............Although it doesn't work like this for me I can possibly understand someone rising to this emotional state over a heinous crime involving children..............
The past few years (funny it coincides with having kids) I feel a pit inside my stomach when I read/see news stories about bad things being perpetrated on children. I'm quite certain it's outrage. But I take a deep breath, shake my head and move on. Outraged and incensed is no way to go through life. But venting a little once in a while can be therapeutic. That's sadness and a degree of despair for me. If it were to happen to someone close to me it would rise to something else. But like I said, I understand those feelings when it comes to those issues. I think the people who are outraged and incensed about County Commissioners getting away with parking violations minimize outrage and incense for when they are really needed. I'll agree with that. Maybe part of that feeling in my stomach is sadness and despair.

I was outraged at some incense once, but it involved (in no particular order) way too much LSD, way too much time on our hands, and a setting which had to be eerily similar to John Holmes and the Wonderland murders.
Truth be told it seems that it requires more energy than I have to have my anger generated in multiples.
Life is just to short.

I'm not smart enough to be both outraged and incensed. I tried once, but by the time I got incensed, I forgot that I was supposed to also be outraged.

Brittany Spears- I'm not outraged or incensed, I find her a bit of a joke. I do feel sad each time I see that photo of her with her two little boys in the back seat looking at each other, holding hands. (My heart goes out to those two little boys, who knows what kind of life that they will have.)
