you've got to be kidding me. nothing about broadcast tv audio is HD, and fox is near the bottom of the ladder in both PQ and AQ I guess so. Which network do you prefer for HD? ESPN? |

ESPN? no networks really have good audio quality. some have good sound engineering in the 5.1 (like nbc with their sunday night football) mixing, some have better production/mastering in overall AQ cbs shows like CSI, but few networks/shows have a good mix of both and just because its 5.1 doesnt make it HD anyways. it's still just high-loss low-bitrate dolby digital . where this really shows is in in shows that run any sort of music. it sounds like your typical 128 or 160 kpbs mpeetwee with horrible compression and pitiful dynamic range. |
